Google wants you to do this organically by writing good content that people like and therefore link to. Some companies out there will offer a linking service that makes you pay per backlink to your site (Google does not like this and they cost way more then there worth in most cases). We have taken over sites with thousands of backlinks (which is great), however they are all linking to the home page. While still great to have that many links, you now have really good rankings for your home page name (usually your company name) which more then likely you would show up for anyways. These backlinks should be linking to your keyword pages "Tree Removal", "Tree Trimming," etc. By linking to these pages it shows Google and search engines you are the authority on these services and they have you show up higher when someone searches "Tree removal."
Unfortunately, just like in tree service, there are those chuck in the truck marketing companies that will look up a quick Youtube video on SEO and start a marketing agency. Find companies with proven results and who are willing to show you what they are doing.
How to get leads for my local tree service
There are millions of ways to market and get leads but here are four proven strategies for a local tree service:
- Google Business Profile: While this may seem minor and a quick set up. There are thousands of possibilities to help you rank here. Google Business profiles control most "near me" searches, making them a powerful and often under utiluyzed tool in marketing.
- Facebook ads: Facebook ads for a tree service is a common practice but most go after the wrong thing. The reason so many tree services use the local lead generation sites is because people reach out to several companies almost every time for service industry. The key is quick responses. Therefore there is a way to utilyze this with Facebook by using message leads. people will message rather then call or fill out a form all day long, while you will get a lot of spam or bad leads, you will also get a lot of great leads with messages. The key is to respond within minutes of the message coming in. Keep them engaged and book the estimate all in one go and message ads can lead you to high ROI.
- Local Service ads: If you have the licenses and credentials (And the budget) this is a great way to get a few leads. While you won't get enough leads to make you rich, you will only pay for legit leads. While not all these leads will convert, you are only paying for real ones that are calling about your services.
